My brother took his own life in October last year.
The inquest is next month.My question is should I go to the inquest.
I know no one can tell me what I’m feeling or what I should do.

That is a difficult decision. I am not sure what happens at an inquest. Can you ask for the transcript? That way your can approach the information in smaller pieces when you are ready, perhaps with the guidance of a therapist.

My brother died by suicide in January 2025, his inquest is on 1st July. I feel like although it will be intense and a lot, I might regret it if I don’t go and hear people talking about him. This may not be the right thing for you, but I just wanted to say what I’m thinking given our similar situation.
