I have a feeling I am a lot younger than most people on here, but why does that matter? Nomatter what age you are, going through this isn’t easy, in fact it’s so painfully difficult that it can cause severe strains on us living our lives. My big sister left us 5years ago now, but being an unknowledgable 9year old girl, I didn’t really understand what had really happened or comprehended that I would never see my lovely sister again. Now, I have, and I feel extreme levels of grief as if I just lost her. My mood swings are extremely intense, I’ll go from being sad to confused to angry to completely numb. It’s so so nice to know that there are people out there that get what I’m going through, because it’s not easy and often, I feel alone. I love you Chiara and I will never stop missing you <3
You sound so lovely and your sister can live on in your memories of her. Try not to be so sad when your moods swing low. Talk to someone. A friend or maybe the nurse at your school or your doctor or someone you trust. If I’m calculating your age correctly your hormones might be changing from growing up and that in itself can cause severe mood swings. Cherish what you can remember of your sister and believe she would want to see you happy and living your life to the fullest. Go outside and wish on a star or smell the fresh air or soak up the sun. Take a deep breath and smile. I lost my brother 3 weeks ago. I feel like I’m living in a dream. Yes, I am older than you and you give me strength. Thank you.
I’m sorry for the extremely late reply. Thank you so much for this, you seem so lovely and your advice is so sweet and caring. The fact that such a short time after your brother’s passing, you’re helping people on here just shows what a lovely person you are. Your brother would have wanted you to live your life to the fullest as well and remember the good times you had together. Thank you so much.
